NOTRE-DAME-DE-LA-GARDE CHAPEL
Chapel of the century, appreciated for its charm and its sober interior as well as its beautiful view on the calanque of Figuerolles
Clinging to the hillside, the Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde chapel overlooks La Ciotat, in the middle of the garrigue. Built in the early 17th century by the Confrérie des pénitents bleus, in honor of the "gens de mer" (sailors, navigators...), it looks much more recent, having been completely renovated only recently. The highlight of the visit is the 360° panoramic view of the Bec de l'Aigle, the cliffs of the Riou archipelago and the calanque de Figuerolles.
