DOMAINE DU CALABRUN
The Domaine du Calabrun is the story of 2 brothers, Julien and Mathieu Prioul, passionate about olive culture. Their dream: setting up an agricultural operation by acting on all its stages from culture to marketing. But to achieve it, they had to find land… It was in 2007 that owners trusted them by renting 4 land. The orchards in the area have a land and a different method of culture. There are traditional plantations where each tree has between 25 and 48 m ² of land. There are the orchards in fruit hedges, where the olive trees are planted so that the fruits are harvested to the harvesting machine. And there are the restructuring plantations: trees left to the abandonment that the 2 brothers put back. Irrigated, olive trees are all grown in organic farming. Two oils are produced: a PDO Aix-en-Provence in green fruity (assembly of aglandau and salonenque) and olive olive olive oil (fruity noir) of the same assembly. Not forgetting the black and green olivades.
