PERLE DE PROVENCE
At a few kilometres from Aix-en-Provence, Perle de Provence is a magnificent temple dedicated to nutrition, health and hygiene. This farm house offers beauty and wellness thanks to the homemade range produced with local produce whose benefits are recognised (thyme, sage, olive oil,...) or produce from more remote regions (shea butter, vanilla, Aleppo soap, Alum stone...). The founder of this family-business, Claude de Tomasi, has established a successful small and yet respectful business in the area. You can buy essential oils, soaps, shampoos, day or night cream, olive oils and supplements on the website or directly at the shop. It is possible to create your gift basket. The advantage is that all these produce are stamped organic. The Ortis product range eases digestion, sleep, the joints or gives tonic effects. You can also find Omega Stevia (natural sweetener) and Rescue which manages intense emotions. The very efficient glass nail files, the Alun duo spray, the shampoo sold per litter and the Nigelle revitalizing oil...
The 350 trees of the property are not only organic but also biodynamic (they are given nutritious food in homeopathic doses depending on the seasons). Three oils are available from the olives pressed in Château Virant: 2 single varieties (aglandau and salonenque) in green fruity and 1 assembly of 2 varieties in black fruity. The Perle de Provence oil is also used for the production of soap. And a part of the olives is for table olives.
Finally, this 18th century country house also welcomes, throughout the year, tourists from all over the world, in the cottage - two flats: a studio and a two-room flat (from €100 per night, €495 per week). An inevitable address in the region!
