NIOLON COVE
Niolon creek is easy to access, with a pebble beach and an exceptional view on the whole harbor of Marseille.
This natural calanque is located on the most beautiful section of the "sentier des Douaniers". The advantage is that there is a train station here and a dedicated road from Le Rove with a parking lot at the station. It is therefore very easy to access, especially since the famous Côte Bleue train leaves and arrives from the Saint-Charles station. This explains why the place is slightly more crowded than other creeks, especially in high season, when you will have to move away from the place to get some peace and quiet. Niolon is ideal for swimming, in calm waters protected by a rock or from a pebble beach with an exceptional view of the whole harbor of Marseille. The seabed is magnificent, and a diving center has been set up here in a former military fort. The cove is inhabited, the houses are charming and there are a few pleasant restaurants to extend your days for dinner. If you go away from Niolon by the hiking path that starts in the extension of the parking lot, you will reach some pretty remote places, starting with the paradisiacal cove of Erevine, after having passed the one of Jonquier. Niolon, beyond being a pleasant cove to laze in, is also a very convenient starting point to walk part or all of the famous "sentier des douaniers". You will always find something to do in the area: a short trip here will bring you a breath of fresh air and an exquisite impression of the end of the world.

Facile d'accès en voiture, mais parking difficile en saison. Eventuellement à la gare !
Quelques restaurants avec une terrasse sur la grande bleue donne un air de vacances en toutes saisons.
