LE TISSERAND
For over 20 years, this majestic shop, which is rare in the Alpilles, highlights the know-how and art and crafts. There is a pretty impressive selection of tapestries weaved on Jacquard loom (indoors) with very varied patterns: from the caves of Lascaux up to Miro through Picasso, Van Gogh, Klimt, Renoir and Modigliani. It is the perfect combination of ancestral techniques and modern iconography, because there are no old tapestries here, on the contrary, they are modern and tehy will beautifully decorate your home. There are also woven cushions, table runners, bags, bells of French production (Halluin, in Northern France). The shop also offers a selection of medieval objects (decorative steel swords mainly from Toledo, fighting swords, scraping-knives, flags and knights' costumes...) and books that Isabelle will heartily make you discover. Expert and passionate, she perfectly knows every tapestry presented here, their history and will advise for in your choice depending on your interior.
