An amazing place located below the village of Les Baux, greening the forms carved in the limestone rock loaded with history

Located below the village of Les Baux, the Val d'Enfer is an amazing place. The name already makes you shudder, but when you see the shapes carved in the limestone by erosion, it is easy to understand why the ancients believed that the gates of the infernal world opened here. In a note, Frédéric Mistral suggested that Dante was inspired by this place to imagine his Inferno.
