A Maillane tourist office in the second, Frédéric Mistral's house, which features three Provençal verses on its facade.
The tourist office of Maillane is located in the second house where Frédéric Mistral lived. On the façade, you will discover three verses in Provençal, by Mistral, referring to the passing of time and featuring a lizard (hence the name the poet gave to this house: maison du lézard) which, when translated, give the following poem: Gai lézard, bois ton soleil; L'heure ne passe que trop vite; Et demain, il pleuvra peut-être. It is here that the Félibrige was founded.
