Created in 1979, the sound library of Marseille is part of a network of 120 similar structures in France. A member of the Voice Donors Association, the library works for people who are blind, visually impaired and disabled. The cultural establishment lends them digital media for reading. In the form of CD-audio and CD-MP 3, books read and registered by volunteers constitute an average of 150 and 200 works per year. Novels, essays, magazines available free of charge for the Marseille audiolecteurs.
