Did you know that Marseille has a thermal complex? Welcome to Camoins-les-bains, in the slightly outlying district of Les Camoins, in the heart of the Spanish countryside. A spring was discovered there by the rich Camoin family, who settled on this land in the 15th century. In 1839, a first building dedicated to care was opened, and the water from Les Camoins was even sold in pharmacies for its virtues. A hotel is created, the thermal complex is created. During the two world wars, the site was used as a military base, but in 1947, the site was renovated and the thermal baths reopened. Rheumatism is still treated there today, and massages, mud baths and inhalations are appreciated.
