Located in the heart of the 7 Hills Park, in the 11 th district of Marseille, the Château de la Buzine is a cultural, cinematographic and tourist place. Built in 1867 and acquired by Marcel Pagnol in 1941 in the hope of creating a «Cité du Cinéma», the castle was bought by the City of Marseille in 1995. Two years later, Buzin is listed at Historic Monuments. Today, Marcel Pagnol's dream is finally realized. The Château de la Buzine becomes the House of Films of the Mediterranean. With 4000 m 2, it is a unique place in the regional cultural landscape, a true «city of cinema». Built on the old side with a balcony and orchestra, it has a capacity of 330 seats and welcomes projections, cinemas and theater, theater, film opera, avant-garde, and also national exits. During the events or on reservation, you can restore, the products are fresh and typical Provençal cuisine! Between culture and nature, this space is to discover or rediscover!
