FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DE FOLKLORE CHATEAU GOMBERT
The Château-Gombert festival offers traditional dance and music performances from the five continents, thus contributing to the discovery of cultures around the world. It was created in 1965 by the Roudelet Félibren, under the impetus of Daniel Audry, for the purpose of exchanging traditions with other countries. Over the five decades, more than 200 folk groups were welcomed in the village of Château Gombert from 110 countries. A hundred volunteers gather the sleeves to welcome hundreds of dancers, musicians and artisans from all over the world to show their show and, beyond, rhythms and melodies, share their culture with the festival festival, the time of a show or a meal. Antigua and Barbuda, South Africa, Bolivia, Argentina, India, Republic of Komis, Romania, Czech Republic… Château Gombert thus creates a great friendship chain with the rest of the planet proving that we can live together in peace. It enchants, by its heat, its audience and its participants. For ten days, about 300 artists present the riches of their culture, songs, dance, music, crafts or gastronomy. Every evening, a new window opens on the traditions of one of the five continents.
