DJERBA LA DOUCE
Tunisian restaurant a stone's throw from La Canebière and the Old Port, offering couscous and tajine specialties at affordable prices.
A new, unpretentious little Tunisian restaurant on Rue Pavillon, serving good couscous and tajines. The prices are fair, the welcome smiling, and there's a terrace overlooking the street or an indoor room with a dozen tables. Couscous comes in mechoui, royal and fish varieties, as well as simpler recipes such as chicken, lamb and vegetable. Tajines are served with apricots, prunes, olives or figs. The formulas are attractive and economical, so close to the Old Port, it's worth noting.
