CICCIO
The promise was tantalizing with the opening of Ciccio. A sort of Italian cafeteria where you can enjoy a pastry or a typical Italian lunch, with some nice suggestions on paper too. On paper only, as our test was far from conclusive. The prices are exorbitant, and change curiously at the time of the bill compared to the price displayed on the menu. The arancini (double the price) is all softened up, hastily reheated without even being refried. The pinsa, whose base is clearly identifiable as coming from a supermarket chain, is timidly garnished. The whole thing lacks generosity and flavor. Finally, the maritozzo brioche is sorely lacking in freshness. A flop from A to Z. Skip it. You may get ripped off in Italy, but at least you're in Italy.
