ZAFER
Discreet restaurant in Marseille serving Turkish-Kurdish specialties cooked mainly over embers and wood fires.
Halfway between the Gare Saint-Charles and the Réformés, on a street as discreet as its frontage, this restaurant is an ode to Turkish-Kurdish cuisine. Favoring wood-fired cooking, the owner offers a whole range of dishes that are a real treat. Start with his homemade lahmacuns, also known as Turkish pizzas, or his pides, a bread dough baked in the shape of a boat, topped with lamb and peppers. Everything is fresh, even the bread, served while still warm. The stewed lentil soup is a real treat.
