New restaurant specializing in grilled meats and generous, gourmet cuisine, just a stone's throw from the Old Port.
A real favorite! Opened at the beginning of 2024 on Place aux Huiles, Travers is the new ultra-gourmet landmark for the team at Coquille, a seafood restaurant just a few dozen meters away. A modern bistro with carnivorous accents, for lovers of straightforward, no-frills cuisine. Good food, just like your grandma would have made it. Specializing in grilled meats (but not only), you'll immediately be won over by the menu, which includes a delicious homemade pâté croûte with duck and pig fillet, and vitello tonnato as a starter. The special of the day is an exceptional croque-monsieur with farmhouse bread, local herbed ham and Comté béchamel sauce. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Fans of grilled meats can opt for a grilled entrecôte, a matured rib-eye steak to share, or a farmhouse pork chop. The ultimate treat is the very generous profiterole, with a scoop of ice cream from Loulou's on the Corniche. Adorable welcome and service, with a special mention for the energetic head waitress Marine. A highly recommended address!
