LE PERCOLATEUR
Neither a bar nor a gallery, the Percolateur is a photographers' workshop like no other. Set up by the Italian Marco Barbon, the space, which has just opened at the start of the 2012 school year, is above all intended to be educational. The private association, a kind of private school or academy of photography, offers a calendar of training courses and apprenticeships around the practice and culture of photography. Year-round modules for professionals who wish to orient their technique towards other forms, develop their work with other professionals, find means of dissemination, etc... Amateurs, in the neophite sense, are also welcome. Introductory sessions concern them directly. Thanks to its sure taste, its professional ambition, Le Percolateur immediately received the recognition of the photography community in Marseille. Big names such as Bernard Plossu and Arnaud Bisalion, co-founder of Images en Manoeuvre, were present at the first meetings and other conferences organised by the new establishment
