LE FOURNIL DES ROIS
An institution in Marseilles, this bakery-pastry shop created in 1959 by Joseph Mandonato and since taken over by Bernard his son, has based its reputation on the Provencal candied fruit galette and the "gâteau des rois" (elected best in town in 2017). Because people come here from all over the Phocaean city and far beyond in winter. And, in addition to being excellent, these specialities can be eaten from the beginning of December to the end of March. An opportunity not to be missed! And the rest of the year, would you tell me? Butter pump, macaroons, crispy little shuttles and huge slices of pie, to name but a few examples. An address recommended by Le Petit Futé.
