Au Cœur du Panier offers traditional cuisine prepared with market produce. On the menu you'll find Marseilles specialties of meat and fish. Ideal for a break during a day's sightseeing in the heart of Marseille's oldest district, or after a visit to one of the city's finest museums, the Vieille Charité. We love the place's vintage decor, with wrought-iron tables, formica and straw chairs and other objects straight out of the 1950s.

Fabulous small unpretentious restaurant nestled in the heart of the old quarter of Marseille. The cuisine is delicious there and the very friendly welcome. Between aioli, the pavé beef and risotto, we hesitated a moment at the aperitif accompanied by a tapenade house. However, given the success of this restaurant, it is better to reserve.
