LE PALAIS DE LA MAJOR
Inventive cuisine with Mediterranean flavours in a chic brasserie near the cathedral and the Mucem.
It is between the Cathédrale de la Major and the Mucem, in one of the new chic neighbourhoods of Marseille that you will find this table which received the Michelin's distinction "Assiette" in 2016. A chic brasserie that adopts the art deco style with its large curtains, chandeliers, ancient paintings and chandeliers… From the floor, you can observe the range of cocktails that are preparing in front you and give in to temptation a little later in the evening. The famous chef Yannick Plassart quickly whets your appetite with a few examples of dishes: the classic of the house: the King Crab mixing delicately crab and avocado purée or the tasty yellow tomatoes cream soup, homemade foie gras cooked with homemade black olives/lemon/ginger jam or leeks vinaigrette with truffle/smoked eel/beetroot, dishes as beautiful as good! As for meat, the beef filet roasted with hazelnut butter and its potatoes tiramisu, the grilled lamb leg accompanied by its vegetables or the grilled wolffish fillet in the oriental with its semoulina with citrus fruit juice and its carrot chips. An inventive cuisine with Mediterranean flavours in a soft atmosphere. To crown it all, do not hesitate to enjoy a perfectly mastered pastry by Camille Payan, an unequalled pastry chef: Cabbage with cream and chocolate or mille-feuille! As you can well imagine, Palais de la Major is an address not to miss!
