The Museum of African, Puzzles, Amerindian, nestled in the heart of Old Charity, is one of the only museums in France with the Musée des arts première du quai Branly to dedicate itself to the arts of Africa, Oceania and the Americas. A great opportunity to discover the permanent collection within three spaces.
The Africa Hall consists of parts of the great collector Pierre War who donated part of his works. A series of masks, statues, sculptures and objects from Gabon, Mali or Burkina Faso. Unique and exceptional pieces to discover.
The Oceania-Americas Hall consists of the collection of Mr. Henri Gustaut, acquired in 1988 by the city. Human skulls, painted, carved or engraved and originating in Oceania and the Americas. We also discover masks, ornaments and other objects from all over the world.
The Mexico Hall with its collection of popular arts presents more than 3000 objects donated to the city by the artist François Reichenbach who makes it acquisition during his numerous journeys. Here you can discover sculptures, paintings of art wool, masks and other objects.
