Since 1990, when it was created on the city's initiative, the Centre International de Poésie de Marseille has welcomed more than 2,000 authors. Every week, the CIPM organizes numerous public events, meetings and exhibitions around contemporary French and foreign poets, as well as magazines and publishers that disseminate their creations. In addition, thematic symposia, awareness-raising activities, writers' residencies, presentations abroad and translation workshops are organized regularly throughout the year. This place, located rue de la Charité, is a must in Marseille for French and foreign culture.
