ROMAN DOCK MUSEUM
Museum housing the remains of a remarkable Roman commercial warehouse, evoking the importance of Marseille's port activity.
The Museum of the Roman Docks houses the remains in place of one of the only surviving Roman commercial warehouses in the world. Designed as a documentation centre for ancient trade, it recalls the intense port activity from the 6th century BC onwards. Several objects from shipwrecks are on display: amphorae, deck fittings, everyday objects, etc. This site, discovered in 1947 during the reconstruction of the eastern quarter, along with the garden of remains, is the most striking testimony to the ancient grandeur of the port of Marseille.

Si je suis entrée c'est parce que je passais dans le quartier et que c'était gratuit.
Bonne présentation des objets et de leur place par époque.
