MEDITERRANEAN VILLA
Designed by architect Stefano Boeri, the Mediterranean villa (ex CEREM) was originally intended to become a strategic place to host summits and other meetings designed to reflect on inter-Mediterranean cooperation. Situated between the Old Port and the Joliette, on the esplanade of the J 4 pier, at the foot of Major's Cathedral and at the end of the new Highline of the Phocéean quotation and Euro-Mediterranean, the villa is a non-standard construction, both on and beneath the sea, with an advance of 40 meters above an artificial pond. From the end of 2018, the villa will host the Cosquer Cave Museum. A 90% replenishment of the Cosquer cave can be admired, allowing the public to enjoy the same reproductions of the beautiful prehistoric cave paintings of the inaccessible cave. No doubt one of the events of the year.
