A medical and social network of international solidarity, with an antenna in Marseilles, this association summarizes in one sentence its primary mission: «South health does not cure populations, it strengthens the skills of health professionals in the countries of the South according to its principle: acting without replacing ". With this principle, health and social professionals, doctors, nurses, carers, employees or volunteers are working to improve the quality of care provided to people in poor countries. Development projects put in place with local organizations and partners to ensure their sustainability. In this relationship of partnership and not handouts, South Health coordinates actions and ensures their sustainability. In practice, medical missions are not lacking: care for disabled children, engines, brain, continuing training in obstetrics for doctors, midwives, attendants and nurses, strengthening of reference motherhood (obstetric, surgical, transfusion)… On a logistical level, the association is working to improve reception conditions in safe health centres, monitoring the state of buildings and equipment. Essential also, training and monitoring of the skills of local staff, supporting doctors who choose to settle in rural . The countries concerned (sub-Saharan Africa, Arab countries but also Madagascar, Mongolia…).
