It was on the occasion of Marseille Provence European Capital 2013 that the Friche la Belle de Mai site underwent its metamorphosis by inaugurating the Panorama Tower. Initially 4,000 m² in size, this new space is dedicated to international contemporary and prospective art. Today it has become a 45,000 m² developed space with a total usable surface area of 100,000 m². More than 600 events (exhibitions on all kinds of themes: contemporary art, digital, video...) take place there every year and about 400 people work there (400 residents, permanent or occasional). It should be noted that the building is designed by architects Mathieu Poitevin and Pascal Raynaud.
