GROBET-LABADIE MUSEUM
The Grobet-Labadié Museum is located in a particular hotel facing the Longchamp Palace. Built in 1873, on the plans of the architect Gabriel Clauzel for Alexandre Labadié, this beautiful bourgeois and refined apartment presents the collections of a rich Marseille family, bequeathed by Marie Grobet to the city of Marseille, at the death of Louis Grobet in 1917. All forms of art are found in it and illustrate the artistic eclecticism of the "enlightened" amateurs of that time: 18 th century, High Middle Ages, Renaissance and 19 th century.
