For a very long time, this small workshop near the church of Saint-Michel was the playground of Joël Laplane, a well-known violin maker and heir to a tradition that began with the Carbonell family, Spanish refugees in Marseille. Today, it is a talented young luthier, Yoann Charbonnier, who works here making guitars, whether folk, classical or electric. If you own an old guitar that is a bit out of shape, Yoann Charbonnier also offers to restore it. Your guitar, mandolin, bass or violin will find a second life.
