HOT YOGA STUDIO
40°C is what we call a heatwave in France. In India, it's simply the average temperature in a city like New Delhi in May. Bikram yoga, born in the land of Shiva, stems from this curious observation: it's easier to stretch at high temperatures, and toxins are eliminated more quickly and efficiently, reducing the risk of muscular injury. Good for combating stress, this type of yoga is best practised in an overheated room, bordering on a sauna... Very fashionable in the USA, Bikram consists of 26 dynamic poses and two breathing exercises, and is suitable for people of all ages and physical conditions. Bikram yoga has now arrived in France and seems to be winning over more and more enthusiasts. Those who are not looking for dynamic but gentle yoga will be delighted. Sessions at the center last 90 minutes, and teachers pay particular attention to the body as a whole.
