Artisan soap factory producing soap in the purest Marseille tradition, in its family-run factory on Cours Julien.

Located in the heart of the Cours Julien, Savonnerie de la Licorne plunges you into a world of scents - those of the flowers and plants of Provence - and tradition. The grandson of a soap-maker, Serge Bruna has always been passionate about the ancestral production of genuine Marseille soap. Still prepared here the old-fashioned way, with machines from the last century, our master soap-maker also organizes free tours where you can discover all the steps and secrets involved in making pure 72% olive or palm oil soaps, the thousand scents (mimosa, lily of the valley, orange blossom, lavender, honey), and the specific ones with mare's milk, propolis.. A nod to Marseille with soccer ball shapes, the sardine that clogged the harbor, pastis-flavored pétanque balls and other small gift boxes. La Licorne now has two boutiques on each side of the Vieux Port! And don't miss the La Licorne soap museum on the Old Port, where you can take part in the soap-making process by appointment.

Marseille originality, it is a shame that you do not visit the basement because it is here that does the work.

Be careful not to slip!
