Ukrainian specialties on Marseille's Cours Julien.
A wonderful discovery of Ukrainian hospitality. A cuisine of typical dishes and shots of flavored vodka or excellent Russian beers. Here, the specialties are Ukrainian and Russian, with the inevitable kortchma. As an aperitif, a honey-pepper vodka or a cocktail... made with vodka, of course, to wash down the dried fish to be nibbled, which smell a little strong and slightly dry your throat. The decor is kitschy, reminiscent of a chalet or farmhouse from another era, but so exotic! Starters include salmon pancakes with Russian red caviar, potato dumplings with pine nuts (Kotletys), herring salad in a coat (Seliodka pod chouboi), then traditional Stroggonof beef served in a pot, as well as pork skewers (Ukrainian Chachlyk) or salmon in a special Russian sauce and to finish, between two vodkas with caramel and plum, Oladouchky with honey and jam.
