L'ESCAPADE MARSEILLAISE
A gastronomic restaurant with terrace offering home-made recipes of seasonal products.
In the montée des Accoules, what a pleasure to discover this excellent gourmet restaurant. Yannick Stein has already proved his worth in fine restaurants (Fonfon, Pergolese, Lionel Levy). A little cocoon decorated with beautiful photos of Marseille taken by his grandfather, a terrace for sunny days and "homemade everything" like the breadstick-tapenade served as an appetizer. Discover the cuisine of seasonal and market produce: chestnut velouté and duck confit crumble, foie gras mousse; scallop and red mullet maki; pineapple and avocado tartar and lobster vinaigrette; roast quail, polenta millefeuille, carrots and confit leeks... On the sweet side: pumpkin tart, dark chocolate mousse; opera, orange chocolate sorbet; pear puff pastry, speculoos mousse. A fine address. The Michelin Guide awarded the restaurant its "L'Assiette" distinction: congratulations to the chef!

Visiting the city from marseille, my steps guided me to the historic heart of Marseille in the Basket more precisely, and I stopped in front of this small restaurant with a very friendly name. The original menu showing me, I tasted delicious dishes, as well as a starter (gratin sweet onion with shoddy of cured ham) main course (feet divine packages!) dessert (memory childhood succulent!), accompanied by a red light local wine Languedoc that I discovered... What does not spoil anything, the chef and the waitress are extremely friendly! In short excellent moment, which I will renew with my next passage!
