The theatre of the Cité affirms itself as an active place, creator, in connection with the society in which it invents, interacting with it. Not a programming theatre, but a factory in the heart of the city that does not evoke any less in the whole of Marseille. The theatre of the Cité welcomes artists who are sensitive to these new scriptures, which it appoints as «the scriptures of the real» because the stories that breed there, each in their own way, maintain the world and others. The theatre of the Cité invites the inhabitants of the city to take part in this creation and research movement, to contribute to it in deeds and/or thoughts.
