A THRESHOLD FOR THE SKY
At first, it was only a small piece of waste ground. At the initiative of the inhabitants of the Vauban hill, the place has changed its face and has been transformed into a friendly garden. To do this, they asked the landscape gardener Natacha Guillaumont to redevelop this abandoned parcel. Inaugurated in 2006, this solidarity garden consists of several Mediterranean species and decorative and vegetable varieties. A meeting place for the inhabitants of the district, it is much more than a place to garden, it is the green soul of Vauban and you a magnificent panorama over the north of the city on its heights. To reach it, you will have to climb a 200-step staircase, the only access road to the top of the hill, but the initiative and view that the place offers is worth the effort.
