Certified a Living Heritage Company, Carbonel produces superb santons in the purest Provencal tradition.
Known as one of Marseille's only santonniers, Marcel Carbonel opened his first workshop in 1935. Today, you can discover the company's exceptional craftsmanship in a boutique-atelier in Marseille's Saint-Victor district, established since 1987 on rue Neuve-Sainte-Catherine. Finely crafted santons, combining tradition and modernity, to decorate your home or your Christmas crib, in keeping with Provencal tradition. In 2007, Carbonel was awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label. Biblical or Provençal themes, animals and special santons can be found in the online store.
