The tradition of this religious feast dates back to the year and is attributed to the Benedictine abbot Isarn. It takes place around St. Victor Abbey and lasts nine days. Pilgrims and Napoleon of Provence come to live in this prayer time that is the pilgrimage of the Chandeleur. The important moment is the procession with Notre-Dame-de-la-Confession: A black virgin carved in a walnut wood, attached to this occasion in his beaux. On 2 February it was the arrival of the Gospel by the sea brought by the Merchant Navy students from 5 p. m., and then began the procession from the Dock of the Belgians to Saint-Victor, where the verts of the city will be blessed on the square. Then at 8 p. m., blessing at the Four des Shuttles. Then start the masses, which will follow hours and days until 9 February. It is customary to bring home not only a candle lit, but also a "shuttle".
