ÉCOLE NATIONALE SUPÉRIEURE DE DANSE
The training provided here is of an exceptionally high standard, both in terms of the diversity of subjects covered and the quality of the teaching staff. Marseille boasts a top-flight establishment that works in close symbiosis with the Ballet National, housed in the same building. Organized encounters with the world's leading schools provide the indispensable international touch that will boost the career of those who have successfully completed this beautiful but so difficult training! This is not a one-to-one course designed to help students progress in a demanding hobby, but a complete school (boarding possible) which, in conjunction with nearby schools, trains dancers both artistically and in classical studies, with the aim of making them complete men and women when they leave. From the age of 8, students are admitted after auditions according to their level (from March onwards, ask at the secretary's office for details) and enter a programme that will lead the best among them into the world's most prestigious corps de ballets! The classical curriculum is divided into four stages: the first lasts 5 years, for students aged 6 to 10 (CP to CM2); the second corresponds to the junior high school years; the third is dedicated to 15- and 16-year-olds (seconde and première); and the last, lasting 3 years, is for students over 17.
