In the very elegant Borély park, known to all Marseille residents since Pagnol frequented it during his childhood, enthusiasts can discover a botanical garden, inaugurated on its current location in 1918. There is a traditional Japanese garden, a Chinese garden from the twinning with Shanghai, a medicinal plant garden, a palmetum, a Mediterranean garden and much more… The opportunity to learn more about our planet and to become aware of nature conservation from a very early age. Every autumn for the past six years, "Akimatsuri", the festival of Autumn and Japanese Culture, has been held (more information on the website).
