ESCU COVE
Very isolated, in a cul-de-sac, it's sheltered from the Mistral. Only the most deserving can admire its wild beauty, by reaching it either by a footpath from the Sormiou pass via the Bois des Valkyries or by passing the impressive Corniche des Pêcheurs by continuing after the Calanque de Podestat. Its special feature is a cave hidden under the cliff. The hiking to go there is aimed at walkers with good shoes and a strong motivation, especially when descending through Corniche des Pêcheurs helped by a cable. Bathing is not recommended here because of the proximity of the sewers overflowed in the very close Cormiou.
