PARC NATIONAL DES CALANQUES
Go there and contact
Near Marseille stands the famous Massif massif, which goes from Callelongue to Cassis and deserves to be discovered by the GR 98 b trail, created in 1973, or by sea from Cassis. Made of impassable walls succeeding narrow and spectacular coves, this limestone cluster owes its current contours to the rise of the marine level 10 000 years ago at the end of the ice period. After the Bec Bec (where the Cosquer cave and its cave paintings were discovered in 1991) and Cape Morgiou, see for example Sugiton's calanque or the most beautiful of all, La Calanque d'Vau where the cliffs of red rock, adorned with pines, dominate the waters of absolute purity. This is the ideal place to stop and take a real bath! If you are lucky, you may see an eagle Bonelli, the emblem of this site… After having exceeded Port-Pin, you will finish your journey in Port-Miou, where the wind is relieved from small boats and beautiful sailboats.
