LE VANILLE CAFÉ
A good address for tapas in Maussane-les-Alpilles.
The concept of "tapas à la française" can be confusing in the first place. However, the owner of the places come with a broad smile and lots of patience in order to explain you everything. The dishes are presented in four categories (vegetable, meat, fish and cheese), are served in small portion: it is thus necessary to choose three of them and a dessert "to have a good meal". Le Petit Futé would have been satisfied with two because the desserts are ample. You should check it by yourself. In any case, they presented many different dishes and everything was excellent: duck foie gras smoked with the wood of olive tree (to die for!), with the sweetness of Saint-félicien to vegetable confits, via fish with the swim on an Asian touch and its spring vegetables of season. Top-of-the-range tapas carried out by the master chef in cuisine who is quite an expert particularly in pastry. The apotheosis of the meal was thus this trilogy with the scents of Provence with mini-cream burned with the lavender, pyramid of chocolate and its heart chocolate infused into rosemary and the tulip of vanilla ice cream to the olive oil. Exquisite from the beginning to the end!
