THE SAURINE
The property was originally called Roche-Fontaine because its springs and rocks, alongside its vegetation, offered a beautiful countryside setting. Now, it bears the name of its first occupants, the Saurin, who built a castle in the early 18th century. Rebuilt and enlarged several times, the construction is attributed to Pierre Puget, and has a monumental staircase. The terraces are decorated with sphinxes and vases. In the park, a white marble Neptune maintains the basin. Inside, you will be amazed by the Baroque style plasterwork fireplace. La Saurine has been for twenty years a school of osteopathy. It is possible to access the gardens and admire the building from the outside.
