BERGERIE DE LA FAVOUILLANE
The Favouillane sheepfold, dating from the beginning of the 19th century, is one of the largest in the region and of the time
It is the last traditional sheepfold of the Camargue. It dates from the beginning of the 19th century. It is one of the largest of the region and of its time: 50 meters long, 12 meters wide, 8 meters high but also one of the last traditional sheepfolds of the Camargue. It has the shape of a herdsmen's hut with its reed roof, and is rounded to the north to leave the least amount of room for the mistral. It is still occupied today by a shepherd and his flock.
