It is a Christian ermite of the fifth century, removed in a cave neighboring and revered by the faithful of the region, who gave its name to the domain. Its reputation as a shadow of the sovereign Wisigoth, a ferocious character who then ruled Provence, this pious pious pile was beheaded. The chapel of Saint-Ser erected in his memory still attracts a crowd of pilgrims on May 24 for an office of remembrance. This magnificent area of Saint-Ser, the highest of the blans of Sainte-Victoire - 400 m altitude - is in AOC in all its 47 hectares, it is classified under the geographical area of the appellation Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire. Jacqueline Guichot, who bought the estate in 2006, leads him with passion. The vine is grown with organic amendments and labours, and declines its wines with refinement: The Cuvée Les Hauts de Saint-Ser Rouge from two of the most beautiful parcels of the estate, one planted in syrah, the other in cabernet-sauvignon, the Cuvée Prestige Rouge with assembly of grenache, syrah, cabernet-sauvigunpicked picked at full maturity, Rosé with original grenade assembly grenache, cinsault and syrah and White derived exclusively from rolle (or vermentino) grape, the Cuvée de l 'Ermite Rosé from a parcellar selection, which includes the grenache of grenache covered by the Chapel of Saint-Ser, the highest on the flanks of the Sainte-Victoire mountain. An area to be discovered.
