LE CARRÉ NOIR
Restaurant with a contemporary decor offering simple but tasty food at very reasonable prices.
Its location, central in the village, makes it an unmissable establishment in Rognonas. But it is also, and especially, for its cuisine that we go to Carré noir. A restaurant that has established its reputation in a pair of years by successfully combining a quality requirement in the dish at attractive prices. It should be said that originally, we found Robert Lalleman, chef of the Auberge de Noves gastronomy, a few kilometres from there. In his "rognonaise branch", the champion of pianos chose a "simple cuisine with quality products". Hence a reduced menu but also the rehabilitation of great classics such as the beef stew with marrow, the lamb blanquette or the Provençal bourride, to which one day of the week is specifically dedicated. But inventiveness is allowed (have you already known the "Provençale fougasse with pastrami as a burger"?), and the resolutely modern atmosphere, with a large open kitchen and a decoration, testifies the work of the roaster châteaurenardais La Maison du bon café, partner in the company.
