Impressive dam built between 1946 and 1951 by Joseph Rigaud, storing 39 million cubic meters of water.
On the D10 on your way back from your visit to Vauvenargues, take a look at the pretty hamlet of Bonfillons before reaching the Bimont dam. Built between 1946 and 1951 by the engineer Joseph Rigaud, this arch dam allows the storage of 39 millionm3 of water coming from the Verdon and the Infernet. It supplies the large industrial and urban centers of the Arc valley and Marseille. From here, you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the Sainte-Victoire mountain. Several hiking trails. Swimming is not allowed.
