CHAPELLE SAINT-ROCH
Chapel surrounded by fields, dedicated to Saint Roch who saved Saint-Rémy from the plague in Provence, invites you to a Sunday walk
The people of Saint-Rémy built this chapel in the 18th century in honor of Saint Roch (patron saint of gardeners and protector of the plague) who spared Saint-Rémy while the plague was decimating Provence. This superb chapel, surrounded by cultivated fields, in the middle of a charming landscape, was enlarged again after 1860 and equipped with a bell tower in 1903. Masses are celebrated on Saturday evenings in summer at 7 pm. The place breathes calm and serenity, it is an excellent goal for a Sunday stroll in family. In summer, guided tours are offered.
