COLLEGIATE CHURCH OF SAINT-MARTIN
Collegiate church that stands out for its Greek temple architectural style, whose facade is inspired by the Square House of Nîmes
The collegiate church of Saint-Martin replaced an older church, part of which collapsed in 1818. The building was rebuilt in 1821. At that time, it was distinguished by its architectural style: the architect Michel-Robert Penchaud gave it the style of a Greek temple. Inspired by the Square House of Nîmes, the façade rises above a podium. Inside, the Great Organ is a masterpiece, rebuilt in 1983 by Pascal Quorin. It is on this instrument that the Organa festival takes place in July, August and September.
