Valetudo Art Center, housing a permanent exhibition of contemporary works and documents to see in some rooms
Located in the Saint-Paul nursing home, the center presents a permanent exhibition of contemporary works by people suffering from mental illness. It is also the place where Vincent Van Gogh was interned. Its magnificent cloister is adorned with the works of the patients, which express their harsh emotions. In some rooms, one can also see documents (furniture, medicine jars, bathtubs, various reproductions) concerning the history of psychiatric treatment in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
