La Taverne Italienne is, as its name suggests, is a restaurant, specialized in the Italian cuisine: salads are accompanied by typical products, parmesan and cured ham, a fine selection of pasta, including this delicious fried tortellini. But proximity to the sea and Camargue forces, the tavern also offers good local dishes: aioli, paella, as well as fish and shellfishes. The service is friendly and efficient: it's a good option before taking over the beach.

It is simply inedible, it is not at all an Italian specialties but just a sad catch- tourist, one of worst of Saint maries Sea.
