ST GABRIEL'S CHAPEL
This beautiful Romanesque chapel at the foot of the Alpilles is the occasion of a beautiful walk. A charter of Charles the Bald testifies to the presence of this chapel as early as 858. It was part of an ancient site at the crossroads of aggripienne and domitienne tracks: Ernaginum, now extinct. Its richly decorated facade, beautifully preserved, is one of the most beautiful in the region. The very sober interior consists of a nave with three arched spans opening onto a apse in a cul. In one of the spans, a cippe (small funerary stele in the form of a column, with an inscription) lists the titles acquired by Marcus Frontonius Euporus, a free Greek slave. The chapel classified as Historic monument visits the tourist office.
